COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - South Carolina will once again take aim at winning the Women’s College World Series.
The Gamecocks (36-17) will take the short trip to Tallahassee to take on South Florida in first-round action in this year’s tournament.
The tournament berth gives South Carolina seven straight NCAA Tournament appearances under head coach Beverly Smith, which sets a new program record.
Also joining South Carolina in the Tallahassee Regional are MEAC champions Bethune-Cookman (26-29) and No. 4 national seed Floirida State (51-8).
The Gamecocks will open play at noon on May 17.
