COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Children will have a chance to learn the fundamentals of football on April 27 at the Community Building Youth Football Camp.
Hosted by former Brookland-Cayce standout and Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Jonathon Rumph, the camp will help allow campers to take part in offensive and defensive football drills while honing in on the mental aspects of the game. Students from ages 7 to 18 from the Midlands are encouraged to attend the camp.
Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley, Chicago Bears running back and former South Carolina Gamecock Mike Davis, former Washington Redskins running back Keith Marshall, Dallas Cowboys safety Dominick Sanders, and former New Orleans Saints cornerback Damien Swann are slated to be on hand at the camp, according to Rumph.
Parents are also encouraged to take part in the camp’s “Enlightenment Meeting,” where they will receive more information on how to help their child make it to the next level.
The camp will run from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Brookland-Cayce High School. Lunch will be provided.
