First Alert Forecast: It’s going to start getting warmer around the Midlands this week

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Get ready for a little taste of Summer across the Midlands as we move through the workweek.

First Alert Weather Headlines:

· Warmer weather this week with highs getting into the mid to upper 80s to around 90!

· We’ll start to feel a little more humidity towards the end of the week.

· Our next chance is Friday (40%) with a few showers and storms.

· Right now the weekend looks dry under partly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the 80s.

First Alert Weather Story:

Temperatures this morning will be in the 50s under clear skies. No weather issues as we go through the morning into the afternoon. Highs eventually will get into the mid 80s as we go through the day today.

For Wednesday and Thursday, even warmer weather is expected. In fact, highs will climb into the upper 80s to near 90 under a mix of sun and clouds.

On Friday, we’re watching a cold front that will approach the Midlands bringing with it a few showers and storms. For now, rain chances are around 40%. Otherwise, we’ll see partly to mostly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s.

The weekend looks dry with highs in the 80s.

Today: Plenty of sunshine with dry weather and highs in the mid 80s.

Tonight: Lows falling into the 50s with quiet weather.

Wednesday: Sunshine with a few passing clouds. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Thursday: Partly Cloudy and warm again with highs around 90.

Friday: A few showers and storms (40%). Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.
