Harbison Walmart re-opens after fire that caused nearly $3M in damages

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A Midlands Walmart location has re-opened just days after a fire caused $3 million in damages and forced a closure of the store for a few days.

According to a post on the location’s Facebook page, the store on Harbison Boulevard re-opened at 6 a.m. on Friday. The Columbia Police Department and Columbia Fire Department called the fire an arson, set in the early-morning hours of April 16.

Good news Harbison Wal-Mart will re-open tomorrow morning at 6am. We want to thank the community for all the support during the closure of our facility due to the fire. Friday April 19th see you at 6am. 😁

As of Friday, police are seeking three persons of interest - a woman and two men - in connection to this fire. If you have any information on who they are and their whereabouts, you’re asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
