COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Monday and Tuesday are ALERT DAYS for heavy rain.
We have abundant moisture flowing into the state today. With thanks to an old frontal boundary still over us, that moisture will basically override or lift above the cooler air below to give us periods of showers today.
NE winds will provide Wedge conditions for parts of the area as well (mostly Northern, and Western Midlands). Temperatures will generally be in the 50s with a few 60s to our South.
A cold front will arrive late tomorrow, this will push the old front out and bring us a new fresh exciting front! This front will have a line of showers and thunderstorms move through the Midlands late afternoon to early evening Tuesday. Some rain will be heavy and a there will be some gusty winds with the passing of the front. Not expecting any severe weather at this time.
The front move out and we’ll see clearing skies and near normal conditions until our next front by Friday.
