House fire in Columbia causes about $85K in damage, no injuries reported

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Columbia Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 4000 block of Booth Street near Cushman Road.

Crews responded to a fire on Booth St. Saturday.

The incident started around 11:30 a.m. Saturday. There were no reported injuries, according to Columbia Fire officials. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials believe it started in a storage area.

Officials estimate the cost of the damage to be about $85,000.

A converted apartment attached to a home on the 4000 block of Booth Street suffered heavy damage after fire ripped through it and a storage area. There were no injuries.
