Midlands charity, business gives food to furloughed federal employees at Columbia Metropolitan Airport

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - In wake of the government shutdown, Harvest Hope Food Bank and Firehouse Subs will be feeding furloughed federal employees at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport.

On Wednesday, Firehouse Subs will provide lunch to the workers who are not getting paid during the shutdown.

Additionally, Harvest Hope will distribute over 75 food boxes including produce, meat and water on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m.
