HOUSTON (WIS) - Dabo Swinney will be bringing a little more hardware back to Clemson.
On Wednesday, the Tigers head coach was named the winner of the Paul “Bear” Bryant Award, which is given to the top coach in college football.
Swinney led the Tigers to a perfect 15-0 record on their way to capturing their second national championship in three years. In the last four years under Swinney, Clemson has put together a 55-4 record that includes four consecutive appearances in the College Football Playoff.
Swinney has now won the award three times. He and the Tigers will begin their quest to repeat as champions on Aug. 29 when they host Georgia Tech in the 2019 season opener.
