COLLEGE STATION, TX (WIS) - After being down as many as nine to the Aggies at College Station, South Carolina battled back to defeat Texas A&M 60-57 to come away with their first conference victory and their first win against a ranked opponent this season.
Te’a Cooper lead all scorers with 24 points and six assists in the win while Mikiah Herbert Harrigan recorded a double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds for the Gamecocks.
The Gamecocks trailed 37-28 at the half but held Texas A&M to just under 20 percent from the floor in the second half. USC went on to outscore the Aggies 32-20 in the second half to secure the win.
South Carolina improves to 9-4 on the year and will host Alabama on Sunday at noon.
