COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A dedication to protect, comfort, and improve the lives of abused, homeless, and abandoned animals is making a significant different for horses, dogs and cats in several counties in the Midlands.
Minge Wiseman chaired the coffee table book fundraiser for Hoof & Paw Benevolent Society. The book, Friends of Hoof & Paw 2018, was just recently released featuring the animals of local families who see their furry friends as family members.
The goal of Hoof & Paw is to increase awareness and to support adoptions of shelter-bound animals. They encourage spaying and neutering and members promote the humane treatment of all animals. Hoof & Paw takes the money they raise and donates it to buy needed healthcare, equipment, food, or transportation for the animals in need.

Hoof & Paw Benevolent Society is a 501c3 fundraising charity. Since the inception in 2012, the group has subsidized the spraying and neutering of animals, supported supplemental veterinary treatment like heartworm care, and vaccinations for Fairfield, Richland, York, Charleston, and Kershaw counties. Additionally, the group has provided financial assistance to pet owners for food and shelter when needed.
My husband, Craig Plank, and I chose to support the group’s mission by participating in a photoshoot with three of our five furry family members.
If you're interested in purchasing one of the coffee table books, they are available at cost at $66. Send an email to HoofandPawfc@gmail.com.
