COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after five people were injured in a shooting at a nightclub.

Deputies responded to Faces Lounge on Decker Blvd. around 6:23 a.m. Tuesday, where officials say 3 females and 2 males were shot. All of the victims are expected to be okay, officials said.

Deputies also responded to a scene a couple miles away on Parklane Rd. where one shooting victim drove to Hardee’s and was eventually taken to the hospital.

“Two of them were transported by ambulance and the others drove themselves to the hospital or were driven to the hospital,” RCSD Deputy Cynthia Rolden said. “The victim, probably just a moment of shock and pulled over to the first sight they recognized. And in this case it seems to have been Hardee’s.”

Rolden said it seems the incident started as an argument that escalated to the shooting. Deputies have had problems in the past with the nightclub.

There are no suspects at this time, but officials say there is a person of interest.

They say they have witnesses, but urge others with information to come forward.
