COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Check your tickets! Someone woke up a very rich person on Wednesday morning.
According to the South Carolina Education Lottery website, a winning Mega Millions ticket was sold in South Carolina for the $1.5 billion jackpot! KC Mart #7 at 303 Lee Vaughn Rd. in Simpsonville sold the winning ticket. This is South Carolina’s first Mega Millions® jackpot win. A news conference will be held at 1 p.m.

5 - 28 - 62 - 65 - and 70 and the mega ball is 5.
There was only ONE winning ticket in the entire country. That person could take home a cash option of more than $904 million.
South Carolina is one of seven states where winners can remain anonymous. The winner should sign the back of the ticket, put it in a safe location, seek financial or legal advice from a trusted source, and call the Lottery. The winner has 180 days to come forward to claim the ticket.
