IRMO, SC (WIS) - Irmo police say there is a stalker on the loose, and they hope you might be able to spot him.
We're putting the spotlight on Ivan Levene Jones. This 33-year-old from Dorchester County is wanted for stalking a woman in Irmo by constantly making obscene phone calls and text messages.
The victim says she hardly knows Jones, but he seems to know a lot of personal detailed information about her.
Every time she answers the phone, "I'm scared," she says.
Every time a new text message comes in, "I'm paranoid," she says.
The Irmo woman says Ivan Jones has been destroying her life.
"I feel like I'm a prisoner in my house away from my phone, I can't talk to anybody because I don't know who to trust," she says.
"The question I keep asking myself is why did he choose me," she says.
Police say the calls started about three months ago. Police say Jones will say and write obscene things about her. She says she changed her phone number but somehow he got a hold of her new one.
"I feel like I've been violated, I feel like I've been raped, even though it was just phone calls and somebody's words," she says.
Police say this is the third woman he's done this to in the past ten years.
"He's done this before, he's doing it now, and he'll do it again, unless we get him in jail."
Police say Jones is 6'3" tall and he often wears these large glasses.
"He's got friends in the Columbia area, he's got family in St. George, he's moving around a good bit, and just one of those people was not easy to put hands on," says Irmo Police Chief Brian Buck.
If you see Ivan Jones, police urge you to call 1-888-CRIME-SC.
"I want him to pay for what he's done, this is not the first time that it's happening, the stop needs to be put to this, seriously," says the victim.
