Judge closes Peachtree Manor for good

WINNSBORO, SC (WIS) - There's more bad news for Peachtree Manor.

The Winnsboro residential care facility's license to operate has been officially revoked.

A judge's order should close Peachtree's doors for good.

DHEC first revoked the facility's license in late 2006 after more than 100 reported violations including residents swallowing razor blades and employees sleeping on the job.

Peachtree's owner, David Donnelly, appealed that decision and the home was allowed to stay open in the meantime.

Now that appeals process is over and a judge has ordered that DHEC's decision to revoke Peachtree's license be upheld.
