Doctors, family decide on treatment for six-year-old Gaston boy

Posted: Updated:

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - WIS News 10 has been following a Gaston boy's battle against a brain tumor.

According to Cathy Dixon, Clay's mom, the family met with doctors at Duke Friday to come up with a treatment plan for the six-year-old. The plan is for Clay to start chemo in the next couple of weeks, and it could last up to a year.

Doctors say it's the best chemo for what Clay has. They're hopeful that they can stabilize the tumor.

The family is thankful for the cards and donations coming in for Clay. They say they are hopeful that Clay will be a testimony.
