Are you kidding me, yet another pointless question. What about whats our reaction to the recent numerous sensless deaths of women and children and our soliders still being away from their families? I mean are you seriously having that much trouble finding issues that are worth commenting on? Please, we are in a new year come up with some real hard hitting questions, rather then what people think about a bunch of greedy relatives of a deceased singer. Or is it that you cant come up with any good questions or are you afraid of creating a stir of opinions that really matter.

Trash begets trash. Trash with money is still trash with money. They are all trash.

Disgusting and repulsive. Its like a pack of wolves going after a dead animal. These people aren't mourning for Mr. Brown one bit. He wasn't dead one day before they started fighting over who got what. I think this is one of the most blatant displays of greed I've seen in awhile.

my dad was has insureance salesman and said that mr. brown was a nice and well guy. If it was me i would have buried him in an unmark grave and then worked out all the legal papers and other things that needed to be done.

    Absolutely disgusting! Enough said.

I hope I'm not alone in wishing the media would quit giving publicity to pathetic creatures like James Brown. An idol or icon? I certainly hope not. I am really tired of hearing about him and his "family". I wish the issue would just go away and we could hear about something wholesome for a change.

A predictable but disgraceful saga, greedy people chasing a dead man's money. But is anyone really surprised?
  • KL,
Greed, Greed, Greed. Of course the greedy children want it all to blow. It seems clear James Brown had other intentions and I don't understand why this is tied up at all. It seems clear James wanted to help the poor children get an education. If he wanted his children to have it, then he would have set up the trust that way. And the attorneys should be sued by the grandson also, this is shameful. The contest by his childrent shouldn't even be allowed in court, but the Attorney's only see $$$$$$$. signs. it is a shame that a person in this Country can't even dictate what to do with his own money anymore. This should be a lesson for all. Either give it to them while your still alive or donate it before you die. Then the kids will have nothing to fight over!!

I am not really suprised. His entire career was marked by drug/alcohol abuse, wife beating, fathering children with other women and perjury in court. Yet, he is hailed as an idol? May he rest in peace.

I canâ€TMt believe that people actually think of James Brown as some kind of an icon. His whole empire was built on drugs and fast women both of which he abused. Who knows what James Brownâ€TMs final wishes were, he was never coherent and he set a horrible example for the young people of this nation in his later years. His will is a train wreck that patterned his own life. If he really cared about contributing to the needs of society then he would have had a permanent record of his final wishes professionally drawn up but he was to busy co-habiting with various women.
