I think the best movie this year was Gone Baby Gone. Ben Affleck's directorial debut was a pleasant surprise to me. His brother Casey did a good job as well. My next pick would be There Will Be Blood. Daniel Day-Lewis will probably win best actor for this show. Hopefully the writer's strike will end and we can see the Awards on TV. My daughter loved Alvin and the Chipmunks...I only dosed off twice.

Alvin and the Chipmonks by far was the best film of 2007. I go to movies to be entertained. I do not enjoy nudity or profanity or violence. I enjoy movies I can take my wife and grandkids to and enjoy together.

We are 48 hours away from a very decisive Democratic Presidential primary. The US economy is in a very troubling state. SC unemployment hit a staggering 6.6% last month. I could go on about any number of real issues. Stop contributing to the dumbing down of America - pose questions about issues that actually have an impact on the lives of average Americans.

My favorite movie from 2007 was Norbit. How you doin??

You know this country has gone to pot for sure when people think a movie about cartoon chipmonks is good. Lord help us from ourselves.

i dont go to them at all why i dont have the money.
  • BS, Hopkins
Alvin and the Chipmunks by far. I could take the grandkids and not have to worry about nudity, violence, but just good laughs. As my grandson said, it was G-rated...Grandma could see it.

I think the best movie this year was Alvin and the Chipmunks. I loved the tv show when I was young and I had the Chritmas album too! I thought it was just like fate that this movie came out on my birthday! I just loved Alvin and the Chipmunks!
  • KD, Columbia
Harry Potter, The Order of the Phoenix
  • DK, Chapin
No Country for Old Men....movie itself was dark and disturbing...but the acting was simply phenomenal...meaningful.

The Bee Movie. A good family movie. It was cute and entertaining. When I left the theater I felt good, not depressed, scared or angry.
  • KD, Columbia
Harry Potter, The Order of the Phoenix

The Bourne Ultimatum should had been picked along with the Harry Potter movie. What bothers me is why it is mostly movies the public never gets to see and many of the big blockbuster hits never get nominated?I'm still angry chariots of fire won the oscar for best picture.
