COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff's Department says the Carolina First Bank on Garners Ferry Road was robbed Thursday.

The sheriff's department says the bank was robbed around 5:00pm Thursday evening.

The suspect ran off with an undisclosed amount of money, dropping some of it in the parking lot.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set black male, dressed in a dark blue 'service' outfit (like a Dickie work clothes outfit); 6'; 210-230 lbs.

A second suspect is described as a white male, driving a blue pickup truck - who is presumed to be a bystander and opportunist during the robbery. Officers say he picked up some of the stolen money that had been dropped and then fled in his pickup.
