Most insurance providers, including Medicare, generally cover the costs for vein procedures that are deemed medically necessary due to an underlying medical condition, but not for cosmetic reasons.
For example, insurance providers will often pay for varicose vein treatments because they are often caused by a disease called superficial venous reflux disease. This is easily diagnosed in the office with an ultrasound examination.
Some procedures require pre-certification. We will be happy to assist you with the process.
