(Clemson-AP) February 16, 2007 - Clemson coach Tommy Bowden has grabbed a highly touted recruit from his father's grasp even though it looked like Bobby Bowden had pulled one over on his son on signing day last week.
The National Letter of Intent center says receiver Markish Jones will be playing for the Tigers.
Jones apparently signed two letters of intent on signing day - one for Clemson, one for Florida State.
Florida State received its letter first by fax and congratulated itself on winning the offensive MVP for South Carolina in the annual Shrine Bowl game for seniors.
But the Atlantic Coast Conference says Clemson later received a letter and asked that the case be investigated.
Clemson starts off the season this year against Florida State on Labor Day.
