It’s the middle of July and this week, it will feel like the middle of July! Hot, humid with a daily chance of afternoon through evening showers and thunderstorms.
A number of factors will lead to a slightly better chance of daily afternoon thunderstorms this week, one of which is a cold front that will sag down into the state and stall.
This will give us a better than average chance of daily storms, along with what more than likely will be, several disturbances that will either ride the front or form along it during the week.
Some rain will be heavy at times during the week. It will be very humid! The atmosphere will have enough juice with aid of July sunshine. This could pop a storm as early as Noon some days.
This is not unusual. June and July are the rainy seasons for us and we could use the rain!
As of Monday morning, all is quiet. Post-Tropical Cyclone Beryl is in the far Northeastern Atlantic, moving out to sea.
Today: Partly cloudy. 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms by afternoon. Highs the lower 90s
Tonight: 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms through the evening. Low in the middle 70s
Tuesday: Partly cloudy, 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs lower 90s
