Enjoy a bit drier air for much of the day because things will be changing. It’s looking more likely we’ll see a pattern change develop over the next few days where we return to more humid conditions.
We'll also see a better than average chance of showers and thunderstorms. The southern Midlands will have the best chance of storms from midday through afternoon.
An area of Low pressure looks to develop over south GA by late in the day and ride the front to the Northeast. IF this happens, the front would be dragged back to the North producing showers and thunderstorms for the central and northern Midlands by late afternoon to early evening.
Another disturbance will arrive by Friday to enhance showers and thunderstorms. Yet, another more vigorous system will move into the state Saturday. The Saturday system needs to be monitored closely for possible severe weather. (Storm Prediction Center has all of the state under a Marginal risk Saturday).
More unsettled weather next week. The good news is that no big heat is expected!
No tropical systems expected to develop over the next two days.
