Superintendent Molly Spearman says 'the state needs to fund' SROs at every SC school

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - WIS sat down with South Carolina Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman to talk about the shooting.

Here's her response when asked about requiring school resource officers in every school: "I think it's a funding issue," Spearman said. "It costs about $67 million. There's a bill before the legislature now if the state requires it, then the state needs to fund it."
