Deputies: No credible threat to school, students or faculty at Blythewood High

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff's Department says it's looking into threats made by three students from Blythewood High School.

According to Lt. Curtis Wilson, each student involved in the incident has been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. Wilson also noted that the investigation has determined there is no credible threat to the school building, students, or faculty at this time. At this point, there are no criminal charges.

A spokesperson for Richland School District Two confirmed the information sent in this letter to Blythewood High parents:

Dear Bengal High Parents,

The sheriff's department originally tweeted that the threats were made at Dutch Fork High School. That information was incorrect.

The investigation will remain active.
