COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - 2017 is drawing to a close.
As is always the case, this year has been filled with many moments of tragedy and strife and of triumph and accomplishment.
There will be plenty of time to reflect on the year that's soon coming to an end and to think about the challenges that are ahead 2018. But for right now, let's take a breath, sit back with our loved ones and focus on spreading cheer.
The holidays are here. Hanukkah is just ending and we are days from Christmas.
From parades to tree lightings, from charitable acts to trips to Grandma's - the sights, sounds, and tastes of the season are certainly in the air. Many will spend the next few days wrapping up shopping and tying up loose ends at work before taking a well-earned break.
When that work is done, be sure to make time for those who matter most - your family - and reflect on the reason for the season and what it means to you.
No matter your beliefs, we hope the holidays are bright for you.
And thank you from everyone here at WIS.
