COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

After last night's historic win, the Gamecocks men's and women's basketball teams will advance to the Sweet 16, but fans aren't waiting for the next round of games to celebrate.

A party on USC’s campus lasted well into Monday morning. Hours later it quieted down, but the energy and excitement reverberated throughout the community.

Signs of last night's win are visible all around town Monday.

A marquee stated how sweet it is to be in the Sweet 16, while a t-shirt already on display read “History happens in March.”

At lunch, last night's wins were big talk. Even the most devout USC fans told us they had their doubts going into the men's matchup against Duke, but they all remember the moment they realized things were turning around in their favor.

It’s a night both current students and alumni won't soon forget.
