(RNN) - A child with Down syndrome will be modeling for OshKosh B'Gosh, following his mom's online campaign to change the perception of children with special needs.
Meagan Richter Nash met with company executives last week and found out the good news for her 15-month-old son, Asher. His story and picture were posted to the Facebook page Kids with Down Syndrome on Oct. 10, and the post was shared more than 120,000 times.
"I am so unbelievably overwhelmed by everyone's responses!" Nash said on Facebook. "Thank you so much for going on this journey with us, and we can't wait to see what Asher's future holds for him."
Earlier this year, Nash submitted photos of Asher to a modeling agency doing a casting call. She found out they never passed the submission along since the company didn't specify they were looking for models with special needs.
