What is South Carolina's favorite Halloween candy?

(WBTV) -

Let's be honest. When you dress up your kids for Halloween and they go door-to-door trick or treating - you're hoping for a treat. And a good treat.

There are ongoing debates about the validity of Candy Corn as a Halloween candy staple, but when it comes to the rest of the stash - what is your favorite?

The haunting holiday is still two weeks ago, but Influenster.com decided to do a fun (unscientific) study to find out what each state considers the best Halloween candy.

The site surveyed over 40,000 users to find out America's favorite Halloween candy for 2016 state by state.

Turns out - the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup pulled the highest total number of votes. Candy corn was the candy of choice in the most number of states to the chagrin of many... many people.

How does your state's candy obsession align with yours?  Happy Haunting!
