WIS is proud to Salute Sgt. Maj. James Humphrey.

Humphrey, who grew up in Columbia, retired from the United States Marine Corps. He reported to Paris Island for recruit training on 1984.  During his distinguished career, he worked as an aviation ground support equipment technician, executed multiple deployments and held a number of key leadership assignments, including three years as a Drill Instructor.

He deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and received numerous awards during his decorated career, including the Meritorious Service Medal. But retired Marine says his proudest accomplishment is being dad to his four children, Tia, Deja, Mark, and James, Jr.
