Wet pattern continues this week

Coming back for a second performance this week is the rather wet, muggy pattern we’ve been seeing for the last several days.

A cold front has stalled just over the state line in North Carolina. The stalled front and several disturbances forming near and along the front will be close enough to us for above normal chances of showers and thunderstorms most of this week.

Some days may see heavy rain at times, which is something we’ll have to keep an eye on for flooding concerns. Temperatures will be held to near 90° to the upper 80s however, with high humidity values and dew points, it will feel very oppressive by afternoon.
Monday: Partly cloudy with  scattered showers and thunderstorms developing by afternoon into the evening.  Highs lower 90s.
Tuesday - Wednesday:  Mostly cloudy, 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms late afternoon through evening. Some rain will be heavy. Highs upper 80s to near 90°.
Thursday – Friday: Partly cloudy, 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, muggy.  Highs lower 90s.
