GREENVILLE, SC (WIS) -

A tragedy has turned into a beautiful tribute for an Upstate mother-to-be.

On March 18, 2016, Meghan Jacobs lost her husband, Greenville Police officer Allen Jacobs, following a shooting in the Nicholtown community. Officer Jacobs already left behind two children with a third on the way.

But Meghan and a Greenville photographer took the opportunity to honor the fallen officer with a beautiful photo shoot.

"Meghan M. Jacobs is expecting a baby girl in July, and I was given the honor to capture these photographs for her," photographer J. Ellex wrote on her Facebook page.
