ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS) - The South Carolina State University Board of Trustees is expected to get an update Monday on the University's financial status.
The Board of Trustees meets at 10 a.m. in Orangeburg.

Since then, interim President Dr. W. Franklin Evans says the University has made improvements in paying its debts, and help is also coming in. In April the Senate Finance Committee approved a plan to forgive more than $15 million in loans to SC State.
SACS will decide in June if the school will keep its accreditation.
