Graham on Trump: 'Nut job' who likely wins GOP nomination

WASHINGTON (AP) - Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham is calling Donald Trump a "nut job" who likely will win the GOP presidential nomination, but lose in November's election.

Graham, who unsuccessfully sought the presidency, said Trump is "just generally a loser as a person and a candidate."

The South Carolina senator said if Trump loses in November, Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton will get the next Supreme Court choice and have the power to protect the health care law and block the Keystone pipeline.

Said Graham: "You can't nominate a nut job and lose and expect it doesn't have consequences,"

Graham said the billionaire businessman would lose badly in large part because of his stand on immigration. The senator made the comments to reporters at the Capitol.
