COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Former University of South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore is joining the staff of new USC head football coach Will Muschamp.
There's been no official announcement, however, a source says Lattimore will serve in the role as an ambassador for the program. He'll also advise players on the responsibilities of a student-athlete and career choices after football.
Lattimore will assume his duties with the football team when he completes his degree in May.
Coach Muschamp reached out to Lattimore prior to his announcement of becoming the new head football coach for the Gamecocks.
Lattimore will continue to serve as an ambassador for USC under the president's office.
