COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Fire crews responded to Palmetto Health Baptist early Monday morning to help fix the hospital's coolant system.
Members of the Columbia Fire Department were on hand with tankers to help restore the coolant system because the hospital's air conditioning system is down.
Columbia Fire was able to provide the necessary assistance for the hospital to get the air conditioning system up and running temporarily. Lexington Fire was also on hand to help with the coolant system. A total of eight emergency vehicles, including one from Colleton County, were on the scene to assist with the matter.
Palmetto Health Baptist is one of five hospitals considering evacuation due to a lack of water.
