Weather forces local high school teams to reschedule games for tonight

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

With heavy rainfall expected throughout the Midlands, many high school football teams In the area have rescheduled their Week 6 contests.

Columbia, Chapin, Irmo, and Newberry are among the teams that will play their home games tonight. 

Here is a full list of area football games slated to take place tonight:

  • North at Wagener Salley (6 p.m.)
  • Calhoun County at Blackville-Hilda (6 p.m.)
  • Mid-Carolina at Columbia (6 p.m.)
  • Richland Northeast at Chapin (6 p.m.)
  • Gray Collegiate at Scott's Branch (6 p.m.)
  • Bethune-Bowman at Bamberg-Ehrhardt (6 p.m.)
  • Williston-Elko at Hunter-Kinard-Tyler (6 p.m.)
  • Dutch Fork at Irmo (6:30 p.m.)
  • Brookland-Cayce at Aiken (6:30 p.m.)
  • Keenan at Newberry (6:30 p.m.)

Lake Marion will be among a number of teams playing games on Monday. The Gators will host Johnsonville at South Carolina State's Oliver C. Dawson Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. 

Here's a quick look at teams from the area slated to play on Monday.

  • Orangeburg-Wilkinson at Stall (6 p.m.)
  • Lakewood at Manning (6 p.m.)
  • Edisto at Woodland (7 p.m.)
