COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Bull Street will be all aglow starting April 2016.

The Columbia Fireflies released their 2016 schedule on Monday.  Columbia’s new minor league team will open play at Spirit Communications Park on Thursday, April 14th against the Greenville Drive.

The contest will be the first of a four-game series against the Boston Red Sox affiliate and a seven-game homestand.

”This is another milestone for Columbia’s professional team,” said Fireflies team President John Katz. “The reaction to the team name and affiliate announcement has been outstanding, work on Spirit Communications Park is progressing and Opening Day will be here before we know it.”

The Fireflies begin play on the road against the Charleston Riverdogs on April 7th.
