COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The University of South Carolina is set to open the doors on the new home of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications this semester.
The new digs for the future of journalism now sits at the newly renovated former home of the Arnold School for Public Health at the corner of the Horseshoe.
The school has been housed in the basement of the Carolina Coliseum since 1968.
"What we're probably most pleased about with this building is its flexibility. We love the light, needless to say," J-school Dean Charles Bierbauer joked. "For those of us who have come out of years in the basement of the Coliseum.
"The building has a flow to it that the Coliseum never had."
