Laser Salute to America
Through Saturday, July 11, 2015
MON, WED & FRI: 2:30 p.m.; TUES: 2:30 & 7 p.m.; SAT: 1:30 & 4:30 p.m.

This 30 minute laser light show celebrates the spirit of America and honors its heroes through patriotic songs by various artists set to laser lights, including “Only In America,” by Brooks & Dunn, “ROCK in the USA” by John Melloncamp, “Living in America” by James Brown and “Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagles Fly” by South Carolina's own Aaron Tippin. The Museum is open on July 4 (10 a.m. - 6p.m.), with shows at 1:30 & 4:30 p.m.

Lexington County Blowfish Baseball & Fireworks Show
Thursday, July 2 - Saturday, July 4, 2015: 7:05 p.m.
Lexington County Baseball Stadium
Tickets: $6-9

Thursday, Friday and Saturday's game include a fireworks display! Thursday's game is against the Forest City Owls. Friday's game is an exhibition against USC Alumni Baseball team. Saturday's game is against the Florence Redwolves - kids 12 and under bring your ball and glove early this night to play catch on the field pre-game with your favorite Blowfish players (Pre Game-Gates open at 6 p.m. on Saturday/play catch from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m.).

Torchlight Tattoo and Fireworks
Friday, July 3, 2015: 4-10 p.m.
Fort Jackson – Hilton Field, Columbia, SC
Admission: Free

Don't miss this Fort Jackson tradition featuring a cannon salute to each state and territory, music by the 282nd Army "Victory" Band, and fireworks. The field opens at 4 PM and the Tattoo begins at 9 p.m.

Patriots, Picnic & Pops
Friday, July 3, 2015: 5-8 p.m.
Kershaw-Cornwallis House, Camden, SC
Admission: FREE

Head out to the Kershaw-Cornwallis House for a perfectly patriotic evening! Hear the actual words that started it all – the Declaration of Independence. Tap your toes to great American standards performed by members of the Camden Community Concert Band. Visit a mini-exhibit on the beginning of this nation and Camden's central role in its fight for freedom. Try on period clothes and play thrilling games from the 18th century. Grab the kids, cooler (no glass) and a comfy blanket (no pets, please) and nestle in for an evening of fantastic family fun!

A Rockin' Red, White & Blue Celebration

The Town of Blythewood hosts its annual Rockin' Red, White & Blue Celebration on Friday evening, rain or shine! New this year is WWE Wrestling from 3-5 p.m., and the D.B. Bryant Band is back on stage from 6 to 9 PM. Fireworks will start at 9 PM! Local food vendors will be on hand with plenty of picnic food. Bring your lawn chairs (no coolers please) and your family for a fun-filled night!

Star Spangled Symphonic Salute

Bring your picnic blankets or chairs and celebrate Independence Day at Saluda Shoals with a Star Spangled Symphonic Salute concert featuring the Lake Murray Symphony Orchestra! The Symphony will perform a range of music, from Broadway songs to patriotic music to sing-alongs. Games, food & activities start at 7 p.m. Concert begins at 8 p.m.

Patriotic First Friday in Downtown Ridgeway

Festivities include a parade to honor veterans and a reception for the veterans at Laura's Tea Room immediately following, in addition to the normal First Friday fun!

Start off your Independence Day celebration by lacing up your racing shoes for the Born in the U.S.A. 4 Miler Run or Walk, and the 4 Mile Team Relay. The Columbia course rolls through Forest Acres, featuring lake views and wooded, residential streets. (See Course Map.)

Planning to spend July 4th on the lake? Then this event is for you! This year's Lake Murray Boat Parade promises to be the biggest & best yet, with over 150 boats and inclusion within the Guinness Book of World Records. The parade begins at Noon at Bomb Island and proceeds toward the dam. 

Lake Murray Fireworks Celebration

Don't miss SC's largest fireworks display on beautiful Lake Murray beginning at dusk (around 9:15 p.m.). Fireworks (set off from Spence Island and Dreher Island State Park) are choreographed to a patriotic concert that will air simultaneously on B106.7. The best places to view the fireworks are Dreher Island State Park and the Lake Murray Dam Park. both parks at the Lake Murray dam.

Take the Flag Down. SC Unity Festival

Bring your American flags to the State House grounds and celebrate the 4th of July with DJ Preach Jacobs, Debbie and the Skanks, Megan Jean and the Klay Family Band, and Rev Mickens and the New Highway Travelers.

Newberry Fireworks Celebration

Admission: Free (Donations to Newberry County Law Enforcement Assn accepted.)

This family friendly event features games for the kids and food for all ages. Children's activities start at 6 p.m., skydiving celebration at 8 p.m., and the fireworks will begin at dusk.
