Lexington County detectives are in search of a man wanted for stealing items from a motel room in Irmo.

Major John Allard says the suspect illegally entered a room at the Red Roof Inn on Berryhill Road back in March and stole a computer, a tablet and a debit card. The man later used the debit card to buy goods or attempt to buy goods from stores in Columbia.

Authorities say the electronics stolen from the motel room are worth a total of over $1,300.

If you have any additional information about the man or the missing items, please call the Lexington County Sheriff's Department at 803-785-8230. You may also contact CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC.
