COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Friday, April 10 was National Siblings Day in the United States. It's a day set aside to honor the close ties between brothers and sisters.
As luck would have it, this year the holiday also fell on a very big day for two siblings from Columbia.
Twin sisters Chandler and Hannah Titus are very close. As twins they've shared many milestones together, from the first day of school to getting their drivers licenses. It was a common trend that only kept up as the twins got older.
The pair even when to college together.
"We room together at school." Chandler said.
And now the sister have one more thing to share: a wedding weekend.
After Chandler's fiance proposed and Hannah's longtime boyfriend quickly followed.
And just like that the two sisters who already have shared a lifetime's worth of memories decided to share another one.
"I mean we've always joked about it." Hannah said.
Chandler and Hannah planned their weddings and decided to get married only one day apart.
With time now set to change as they pursue separate careers goals and budding families, the girls will have more days apart than together.
"It's nice that we get to, you know, look back on these memories and we have them together," Hannah said.
Chandler got married Friday and Hannah followed with her own ceremony Saturday.
The twins shared a wedding reception on Saturday but are going on separate honeymoons. They say when it comes to starting families, it could be another milestone they cross together.
