COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - New businesses continue to pop up in Columbia's Vista.
On Saturday, one of the areas newest additions drew in quite the crowd
When you're waiting in a line on opening day of a new restaurant, it's pretty good to be the guy closest to the door.
Phil Foust waited outside of Old Chicago Pizza &Taproom starting at 4:45 a.m. for the 11 a.m. Grand Opening.
"I'm so excited and I love grand openings," Foust said.
To celebrate the occasion, the first 100 guests received free pizza for a year.
"This is the heart of the business district," said general manager Troy Jenkins. "A lot of great people here in this area."
And forget the traditional ribbon cutting, for this event, a dough cutting ceremony was the only way to go.
"Everything's from scratch of course," Jenkins said.
Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom is located at 802 Gervais Street, Suit 100 in Columbia.
