University establishes memorial fund for Dr. Raja Fayad

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Several days after he was gunned down in a murder-suicide on the campus of the University of South Carolina, the Arnold School of Public Health has started a memorial fund for Dr. Raja Fayad.

Saying Fayad had a "tremendous impact through his teaching and research," the university is asking for donations to help remember the doctor who was killed in an office back on Feb. 5.

Investigators say Fayad's ex-wife, Sunghee Kwon, shot and killed the popular professor before turning the gun on herself last Thursday.

Monetary donations can be made through the university's website.
