(Charlotte-AP) Jan. 12, 2005 - A college football bowl game in Charlotte, North Carolina, is changing sponsors but not themes.
Officials announced Tuesday that the Meineke Car Care Bowl will take the place of the Continental Tire Bowl.
Meineke, best known for installing mufflers, will have a three-year contract to sponsor the bowl.
The game pits teams from the Big East and Atlantic Coast Conference and is played at Bank of America Stadium. Financial terms were not released.
Continental's agreement with Raycom Sports, which puts on the game, was for $1 million a year.
