COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

A Midlands dog that made headlines after being abandoned during a vacation in Florida has been returned to Pawmetto Lifeline.

WIS first told you last week about Roman, the one-year-old German Shepherd who was found by a good Samaritan tied to a telephone pole in Flagler Beach, Florida.

Roman was adopted at Pawmetto Lifeline on Christmas Eve by Irmo Doctor William Odom.

Odom says Roman became aggressive and in order to protect his family he had to abandon the dog just four days later.

Pawmetto Lifeline says Roman is back in their care and they are working to help find him a forever home.
