Gamecocks drop out of top 25

COLUMBIA, SC ( After spending 69 consecutive weeks in the AP Top 25, South Carolina dropped out of the rankings on Sunday after a 21-20 loss to Missouri.

The Gamecocks (3-2, 2-2) gave up 14 points in the final seven minutes to suffer a one-point defeat.

South Carolina also fell out of the Amway Coaches Poll.

South Carolina will be back on the road on Oct. 4, for their fifth SEC game this season in six contests, when the team takes on Kentucky. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., ET and will broadcast on the SEC Network.

The Wildcats defeated Vanderbilt 17-7 Saturday in Lexington, Ky., to move to 3-1 on the year and 1-1 in the conference.
