South Carolina moves to No. 13 in AP poll

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - South Carolina moved up one spot to No. 13 in the latest Associated Press poll released Sunday.

The Gamecocks played their first road game of the season against Vanderbilt Saturday night, and the Commodores didn't make it easy.

The Gamecocks scored 17 unanswered points in the second quarter to go on to a 48-34 win.

Florida State remains at No. 1, with No. 2 Oregon, No. 3 Alabama, No. 4 Oklahoma and No. 5 Auburn rounding out the top 5.
