LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The final autopsy results in the case of the five Lexington County children who were allegedly slain by their father are expected in about four weeks, according to the Lexington County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's department spokesman Maj. John Allard says Lexington County Coroner Earl Wells worked with a forensic pathologist on the children's autopsies.
Allard says that final report will then be handed over to the sheriff's department as part of their ongoing investigation against Tim Jones, Jr., the father of the five children.
In the meantime, Allard says the sheriff's department will not be releasing any preliminary investigative or medical reports on the case and Sheriff Lewis McCarty and Wells will determine if they'll even release the final reports.
Abigail Elizabeth Jones, 1; Gabriel Jones, 2; Nahtahn Jones, 6; Elias Jones, 7; and Merah Gracie Jones, 8, were found dead in Alabama last week.
Tim Jones, Jr. remains in the custody of the state Department of Corrections.
