An argument between brothers led to one of them shooting the other and fleeing the scene, according to the Columbia Police Department.

CPD officials say they are now seeking 34-year-old David Albert Erving, Jr. on charges of attempted murder.

Police say Erving and his brother were arguing at a home on Miriam Avenue when Erving pulled out a weapon and shot the victim.

Erving's brother remains at a nearby hospital to receive medical attention. No word on his condition.

Erving, meanwhile, remains on the run and should be considered armed and dangerous.
