COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

University of South Carolina police say they have arrested the sole suspect in last Thursday night's armed robbery on the Horseshoe.

Police and SLED officials arrested 40-year-old Kevin Rick O'Neal on Tuesday. O'Neal has not yet been charged, but police continue to interview him.

O'Neal is wanted for an armed robbery which took place during the early morning hours of August 21 at the Horsehoe

Authorities say the student was walking through the Horseshoe around 12:40 a.m. when he was confronted by the suspect with a gun and demanded money.

Because the victim did not have money, the suspect walked with the victim to his room at East Quad, USC police said.

The suspect left East Quad and was last seen walking towards the Five Points area. The victim was not injured.
