UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An intoxicated Union woman is accused of yanking a neighbor out of her wheelchair after she denied her permission to use her bathroom, according to police.

Union police were called to the victim's Henrietta Street where they found the suspect, Sherry McMorris, in the front yard. According to the police report, officers found McMorris, 50, highly intoxicated and could not make out what she tried to say.

Officers spoke with a witness and the victim, who said she was sitting on her front porch when McMorris walked up and asked if she could go inside and use her restroom, according to the report.

The victim said no she could not come inside and asked her to leave, police said. McMorris grabbed the victim by her arms, pulling her out of her wheelchair, the report stated. In the process, police said the assault left scratches on the victim's arms.

Police said a witness saw the assault and placed McMorris under arrest, charging her with assault and battery.
